The Wardlaw Group Assists Alliant TechSystems with ISO 14001 Certification

We’re pleased to annouce that Alliant TechSystems' (ATK), contractor-operator of the Radford Army Ammunition Plant (RFAAP) has received ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) certification. BSI Management Systems performed a third-party audit of the facility in March, which led to the certification. Patsy Hosner provided implementation support to this effort.

ATK/RFAAP began the path to certification in 1997 when the plant participated in a Department of Defense and ATK pilot EMS study. ATK launched the pilot in three areas of the plant. Following the pilot, ATK began implementation throughout the plant. Conformance audits with JMC/CORRPRO followed for several years to guide RFAAP to conformance with the IS0 14001 EMS standard.
